Sign a PDF on your phone with your finger

Open the PDF you were sent, sign with your finger on the screen and download it signed. Right in your phone's browser, no app to install.

1 · Document

2 · Your signature

3 · Optional text

4 · Place it and download

  1. Load the PDF and create your signature

Draw it, type it in a handwriting font or upload a photo. You can also create your initials.

  2. Drag it into place

Move it over the page and resize it from the corner. Add it to as many pages as you need.

  3. Download the signed PDF

The signature is added on top of the original document. The text and page quality don't change.

Everything runs in your browser. Your document and signature are never uploaded to any server.

How to sign a PDF from your phone

  1. Open this page in your phone's browser (Chrome, Safari, Samsung Internet…).
  2. Tap the box above and choose the PDF. If it came by email or WhatsApp, save it to Files or Downloads first.
  3. Sign with your finger in the box. If you don't like it, tap Clear and try again.
  4. Tap Add signature, drag it into place with your finger and resize it from the corner.
  5. Tap Download signed PDF. You'll find it in Downloads or Files.

Tips for signing well with your finger

  • Turn your phone sideways: the signature box gets wider and the stroke feels more natural.
  • Sign slowly. The stroke is smoothed automatically, so your hand doesn't need to be perfect.
  • If you have a stylus, use it: the thickness responds to pressure.
  • To move the signature on the page, drag it with one finger. The rest of the page scrolls normally.
  • If it just won't come out right, try Type: your name in a handwriting font.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Where the signed PDF ends up

On Android it usually goes to the Downloads folder. On iPhone, Safari asks what to do with the file and saves it to Files › Downloads. From there you can send it by email or WhatsApp.

None of this goes through our servers: the PDF is read and signed right in your phone's browser.

Signing on your phone and official procedures

This is a simple electronic signature. If you need to sign an official procedure from your phone, you'll normally use the government's own app or portal, or your digital certificate (in Spain, Cl@ve or your certificate on the sede electrónica). We explain the difference.
