Which format do you need?
HEIC (or HEIF) is the format iPhones use for photos when the camera is set to High Efficiency. It takes up less space than JPG at similar quality, but many Windows programs, websites and upload forms can't open it.
To make your iPhone save JPG directly, go to Settings › Camera › Formats and choose Most Compatible. Photos you already have in HEIC can be converted here.
WEBP is a format designed for the web: it's small and supports transparency. That's why many images you save from your browser end up as .webp, even though some programs and forms won't accept them.
This converter opens HEIC, WEBP, PNG, JPG, GIF (first frame), BMP and AVIF if your browser supports it, and saves as JPG, PNG or WEBP.
Private by design
Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.
When to use each format
JPG
- Forms and portals that only accept JPG or PDF.
- Attaching photos to an email without making it too heavy.
- Opening the image in any program or device.
When converting to JPG, transparent areas are filled with white, because JPG has no transparency. A quality of 85 to 90 % usually looks the same as the original and is much smaller.
PNG
- Logos, scanned signatures and icons with a transparent background.
- Screenshots with text that needs to stay sharp.
- Programs or websites that specifically ask for PNG.
PNG has no quality setting: it keeps every pixel as it is. Converting a JPG to PNG doesn't restore lost quality, it only avoids losing more.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits.
Which formats can I convert?
iPhone HEIC and HEIF, WEBP, PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, and AVIF if your browser opens it. The output can be JPG, PNG or WEBP.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Select or drop several; you'll see a list with each result and can download them one by one or all at once.
Why does my iPhone take photos in HEIC?
Because the camera is set to High Efficiency, which saves space. You can change it in Settings › Camera › Formats › Most Compatible so it saves JPG instead.
Is the photo's location data kept?
No. Only the image is saved, without EXIF metadata such as location or phone model. The orientation is applied to the image so it doesn't come out rotated.
