Split your PDF into several files

Keep only the pages you need, separate every page or cut the document so each part fits the upload limit. Your file never leaves your device.

1 · Document

2 · How to split

Use hyphens for ranges and commas to separate: 1-3, 7, 10-. They keep their original order.

3 · Result

  1. See every page

When you open the PDF, thumbnails show you what's on each page.

  2. Choose how to split it

Specific pages, one per file, every N pages or by maximum file size.

  3. Download each part

Pages are copied as they are: no loss of quality and the text stays selectable.

Everything runs in your browser. Your document is never uploaded to any server.

How to split a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF into the box above or click to choose it.
  2. Click the thumbnails of the pages you want or type the range, for example 1-3, 7.
  3. Click Split PDF.
  4. Download the new PDF. The original stays unchanged.

Four ways to split

  • Extract pages: pick single pages or ranges and they come out in one new PDF.
  • One per page: every page becomes a separate file.
  • Every N pages: blocks of the same length, useful for scans of several identical documents.
  • By size: each part stays under the maximum file size you set.

In every case pages are copied without being recompressed, so they don't lose quality.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Tip

You can use open ranges: 5- goes from page 5 to the end and -3 means the first three. If you type repeated or out-of-order pages, each comes out once and in its original order.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are into the new PDF, without turning them into images or recompressing them. The text stays selectable.

Which mode should I choose?

If you only need a few pages, “Extract pages”. If the portal wants one file per document, “One per page” or “Every N pages”. If it limits the size of each file, “By size”.

How do I enter single pages and ranges at once?

Separate them with commas: 1-3, 7, 12-15. A hyphen marks a range and, if you leave it open (10-), it runs to the last page.

Does it work with protected PDFs?

If the PDF is encrypted or asks for a password, it can't be split here. Open it in your PDF reader, remove the protection or save a copy without it, and try again.
