Resize image to exact pixels

Type the width and height you need. Keep the aspect ratio or crop to center for an exact fit, and limit the file size too if you want.

2 · Maximum file size

1 MB = 1,024 KB. If the form doesn't say, leave a little room under the limit.

3 · Dimensions

  1. Quality first

We find the highest JPG or WEBP quality that fits your limit, without touching the pixels.

  2. If not, the dimensions

We shrink the width and height just enough for it to fit. If you set dimensions, they are kept.

  3. Compare and download

You see file size, dimensions and a before-and-after preview, then download each photo or all of them.

Everything runs in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to any server.

How to resize an image in pixels

  1. Drop your photos into the box above or click to choose them.
  2. Type the width and height in pixels and choose “Keep aspect ratio” or “Crop to center”.
  3. If there's a file size limit, choose it too. If not, leave “No limit”.
  4. Click Resize and download each photo or all of them.

When are specific dimensions required?

Some common cases:

  • Forms that require fixed pixel dimensions.
  • Profile photos and avatars that must be square.
  • Images for websites, online shops or presentations.

Each organisation or website sets its own requirements. Always check the form's instructions: besides file size, they may ask for a specific format, dimensions or background.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Keep aspect ratio or crop to center

Keep aspect ratio fits the image inside the width and height you enter without stretching it. If the shape doesn't match, one side will be shorter. You can leave one field empty and it's worked out for you.

Crop to center gives exactly the dimensions you asked for: it scales the image to cover them and trims what's left over at the sides or at the top and bottom. It's what you need for a square photo or a form with fixed dimensions.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits.

What if it can't reach the size?

If you set dimensions and a very low file size at the same time, they may not fit together. Raise the maximum file size or reduce the dimensions.

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes, but it doesn't gain detail: the pixels are stretched and it may look blurry. It's always better to start from a larger photo.

How do I make a square image?

Enter the same number for width and height and choose “Crop to center”. The central part of the photo is kept.

Can I limit the file size too?

Yes. Choose a maximum file size as well as the dimensions. The quality is lowered until it fits, without changing the dimensions you asked for.
