How to rotate a PDF

  1. Choose your PDF. You'll see each page as it opens now.
  2. To rotate the whole document, click Rotate all (90° clockwise each time).
  3. To rotate just one page, use its arrows: left or right.
  4. Click Save PDF.

Rotating the view isn't rotating the file

Almost every PDF viewer lets you rotate what you see on screen, but that rotation isn't saved. Whoever receives the file sees it crooked again. Here the rotation is written into the PDF itself, so it shows correctly on any device.

A page can turn a quarter (90°), half (180°) or three quarters (270°). To fix an upside-down page, rotate it twice.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Why does it come out sideways?

  • You scanned with your phone in landscape and the app didn't fix the orientation.
  • A sheet went into the scanner the wrong way round.
  • The document mixes portrait and landscape pages, such as tables or plans.

Since rotating doesn't recompress anything, quality and selectable text are preserved.
