Compress PDF to 50 KB

Get your document under 50 KB, a common limit on online job applications and recruitment portals. Free, and your file is never uploaded to any server.

1 · Document

2 · Maximum size

1 MB = 1,024 KB. If the form doesn't say, leave a little room under the limit.

3 · Result

  1. Lossless first

We rebuild the PDF's internal structure. If that's enough, the text stays selectable.

  2. If not, exact size

We turn each page into an image and find the highest resolution and quality that fit your limit.

  3. Download and done

You see the final size against the limit and a preview before saving.

Everything runs in your browser. Your document is never uploaded to any server.

Where is a PDF under 50 KB required?

A 50 KB limit is common on:

  • Online job applications and recruitment portals.
  • University, scholarship and exam application forms.
  • Government and visa portals with tight upload limits.
  • Web forms with a very low upload cap.

With such a tight limit, a scanned document with several pages usually ends up at 60 to 100 dpi. It reads fine on screen, which is what the person processing your application will look at.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Tip

If your PDF has many pages and won't fit, upload it in parts: most portals accept several files even if they limit each one.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits.

How do I get my PDF under 50 KB?

Choose the file, keep 50 KB as the maximum size and click Compress. Lossless compression is tried first; if that's not enough, the best resolution and quality that fit are found.

Will the text still be selectable?

If lossless compression is enough, yes. If the file has to shrink further, pages are turned into images and the text is no longer selectable, although it reads exactly the same.

What if it can't reach the size?

It means the document would become unreadable at that size. Split the PDF into several parts or check whether the form accepts more than one file.

Is 1 MB 1,000 or 1,024 KB?

Here 1 MB = 1,024 KB. Some portals count 1,000. If you're close to the limit, pick a slightly smaller one to be safe.
