Extract pages from a PDF into a new file

Mark the pages on the thumbnails or type a range like 1-3, 7. They're copied as they are, with selectable text, into a new PDF.

1 · Document

2 · How to split

Use hyphens for ranges and commas to separate: 1-3, 7, 10-. They keep their original order.

3 · Result

  1. See every page

When you open the PDF, thumbnails show you what's on each page.

  2. Choose how to split it

Specific pages, one per file, every N pages or by maximum file size.

  3. Download each part

Pages are copied as they are: no loss of quality and the text stays selectable.

Everything runs in your browser. Your document is never uploaded to any server.

How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF into the box above or click to choose it.

  3. Click Split PDF.
  4. Download the new PDF. The original stays unchanged.

What is extracting pages useful for?

  • Sending only the payslip, contract or certificate page you've been asked for.
  • Removing cover pages, appendices or blank pages before submitting a document.
  • Separating your scanned passport or ID card from the rest of the paperwork.
  • Sharing one chapter of a manual or some notes without sending the whole file.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Tip

You can use open ranges: 5- goes from page 5 to the end and -3 means the first three. If you type repeated or out-of-order pages, each comes out once and in its original order.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits.

How do I enter single pages and ranges at once?

Separate them with commas: 1-3, 7, 12-15. A hyphen marks a range and, if you leave it open (10-), it runs to the last page.

Can I change the order of the pages?

Here pages come out in their original order. To reorder them, use an organise PDF tool afterwards.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are into the new PDF, without turning them into images or recompressing them. The text stays selectable.

Does it work with protected PDFs?

If the PDF is encrypted or asks for a password, it can't be split here. Open it in your PDF reader, remove the protection or save a copy without it, and try again.
