Split a PDF every N pages

If you scanned several documents in a row and they all have the same number of pages, tell us how many each one has and we'll split them in one go.

1 · Document

2 · How to split

pages per file

If the total isn't a multiple, the last file gets the pages left over.

3 · Result

  1. See every page

When you open the PDF, thumbnails show you what's on each page.

  2. Choose how to split it

Specific pages, one per file, every N pages or by maximum file size.

  3. Download each part

Pages are copied as they are: no loss of quality and the text stays selectable.

Everything runs in your browser. Your document is never uploaded to any server.

How to split a PDF into blocks of N pages

  1. Choose the PDF you scanned in one go.
  2. Enter how many pages each document has. The thumbnails show where each part starts.
  3. Click Split PDF.
  4. Download each part with its numbered name.

When is splitting every N pages useful?

  • You scanned several 2-page forms in a row and want one file per person.
  • You have a year of payslips in one PDF, with the same number of pages each month.
  • You want to break a long document into equal blocks to review it in parts.
  • The office scanner merged several contracts of the same length into one file.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Tip

Before splitting, look at the thumbnails: the “Part” label marks the first page of each file. If one document has an extra page, check the scan or use extract pages for that case.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits.

What if the number of pages isn't a multiple?

The last file gets the pages left over. For example, a 7-page PDF split every 3 gives parts of 3, 3 and 1 pages.

How do I know where each part starts?

Before splitting, the thumbnails show a “Part” label on the first page of each file.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are into the new PDF, without turning them into images or recompressing them. The text stays selectable.

Does it work with protected PDFs?

If the PDF is encrypted or asks for a password, it can't be split here. Open it in your PDF reader, remove the protection or save a copy without it, and try again.
