Separate the pages of a PDF one by one

Each page is saved as its own PDF, named with its page number. Handy when a form asks for one file per document.

1 · Document

2 · How to split

Each page will be saved as a separate PDF.

3 · Result

  1. See every page

When you open the PDF, thumbnails show you what's on each page.

  2. Choose how to split it

Specific pages, one per file, every N pages or by maximum file size.

  3. Download each part

Pages are copied as they are: no loss of quality and the text stays selectable.

Everything runs in your browser. Your document is never uploaded to any server.

How to separate the pages of a PDF

  1. Choose your PDF. You'll see a thumbnail of every page.
  2. Make sure One per page is selected.
  3. Click Split PDF: you'll get as many files as there are pages.
  4. Download only the ones you need or click Download all.

When should you separate every page?

  • When you scanned several one-page documents into a single PDF.
  • When a form has a separate upload slot for each document.
  • To sort invoices or receipts and keep each one on its own.
  • To send each person only the page that concerns them.

Private by design

Most online tools upload your files to their servers. Not here: everything is processed in your own browser and nothing is ever sent anywhere. That's why you can safely use it with your ID, passport, payslips, medical reports or contracts.

Tip

Each file has its page number in the name (for example document-page-3.pdf), so it's easy to tell them apart when you upload them.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits.

How many files will I get?

As many as the PDF has pages. You'll see the number under the options before splitting.

Can I download them all at once?

Click “Download all” and they download one after another, with no ZIP. The first time, your browser may ask for permission to download multiple files.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are into the new PDF, without turning them into images or recompressing them. The text stays selectable.

Does it work with protected PDFs?

If the PDF is encrypted or asks for a password, it can't be split here. Open it in your PDF reader, remove the protection or save a copy without it, and try again.
